Saturdays 7:30am. Departs from the corner of Montana Ave and 7th St in Santa Monica. Fast pace. Ride typically stays together on PCH until the short climb to Pepperdine University, with groups forming and continuing to the sprint finish at Trancas Canyon Road. Strava route here. 21.2 miles, 971 feet elevation gain, which does not include the return trip. Many use the ride out as a springboard to continue on to the various canyon climbs that begin at PCH.
Saturdays 8am. Departs from the corner of Avenue I and S Elena Ave in Redondo Beach. Fast pace, with dropped riders forming groups after the main peloton. Thursdays 6:35am. Departs from the Malaga Cove fountain in Palos Verdes Estates. Six hard laps up the north and east end of the Palos Verdes Golf Club. Regroups after each climb in the parking lot at the top of the hill. Last lap finishes without a regroup at the top of the 14% Via La Cuesta climb. Facebook page here.
